Looking for a network of other folks who are passionate (or at least heading that direction) about peace and social justice issues?

Anxious to become better informed about the hidden truth (the unreported ‘other’ side) of social justice issues?

Interested in simplifying your life and living closer to nature - and treading more lightly on our mother, Planet Earth?

You’ll find all this and much, much more as a member of the Pikes Peak Justice and Peace Commission!  Our mission statement says it all - and our members make it happen.  Find out more about us and see for yourself!

If you’re familiar with our newspaper, Active for Justice, you already know the flavor of our organization.  If you haven’t seen it, pick up a sample copy at one of the several distribution sites in Colorado Springs-college campuses, coffee shops, public library branches, book stores, etc.  You can also learn about us (for a limited time) through a series of nine articles we’re currently publishing in the Independent.  This series will run through the end of March.  You can also read them right here.

Know that members of the Commission enjoy use of our Peace and Justice Library, participate in educational and activist events of the J & P, are invited to volunteer with our programs, get to know lots of other wonderful people, and receive 10 issues of our newspaper Active for Justice each year.

Our Commission’s meeting space and offices are located at 29 South Institute, Colorado Springs.  If you’d like to know more, call us at 719-632-6189, e-mail us right here, or stop in and see us.   Our annual membership dues are $40.  All dues and donations help to support our programs and activist work.  This year the donations of all new members are being matched dollar for dollar by the Gay and Lesbian Fund for Colorado. It’s a great time to join the Commission!

Please send membership information (name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, areas of interest, and whatever else you’d like to tell us) and your check to Pikes Peak Justice and Peace Commission, 29 South Institute, Colorado Springs, CO 80903.  We look forward to meeting you in person.

Welcome to the Commission!
